LAW OFFICE OF CHEDDI B. JAGAN II

Cheddi B. Jagan II, Esq. is a solo, general practice attorney and counselor-at-law admitted to practice law in all courts within the State of New York. Cheddi started his own law office in July 2015 striving to carry on his grandparents, Cheddi and Janet Jagan's legacy of fighting relentlessly for the betterment of all. Cheddi is the eldest grandchild of the former Presidents of Guyana.

Cheddi attended Brooklyn College (CUNY) in Brooklyn, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy of Law. Cheddi then attended Florida International University College of Law in Miami, Florida, earning his Juris Doctor degree while graduating in the Top 10 of his class and earning several Dean's List awards. Cheddi also studied international and comparative law through Georgia State University College of Law in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the summer of 2009 as well as through Washburn University School of Law in Barbados in the summer of 2010.

After law school, Cheddi relocated to Guyana in 2010 where he worked at the Office of the President within the Governance Unit as a legal consultant until 2013. Cheddi also served as a Business and Compliance Analyst for Axiom Global Inc. with the Enterprise Anti Money Laundering (AML) Operations and Financial Intelligence Unit at American Express in New York, New York.

Cheddi was admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York in April 2015 and holds himself to the very highest of ethical standards.
